Good evening students and parents,
This is Lauryn Duncan, Principal at Douglass Elementary School calling with a few announcements for the week.
Parents, please remember that safety is our top priority at Douglass Elementary. If your child is a car rider and they arrive after 7:50 am, a guardian must walk your child to the door and sign your child in. It is not acceptable to drop students off and have them walk to the door by themselves without someone signing them in. Also, please remember that car riders dismiss at 2:45 pm. If your child is a car rider, their ride needs to be here at 2:45 pm.
Please remember that our Title 1 Move Up Night will be held on Thursday, April 25th. Grade level presentations will begin at 5:30 pm in classrooms. We look forward to having our families join us for our final parent night of the 2023-2024 school year.
Parents, if you have a rising kindergartener, kindergarten registration is open. Douglass families will have an opportunity to meet our staff and tour a kindergarten classroom on Wednesday, April 24th from 8:00-4:00 pm and again on Thursday, April 25th from 3:00-6:00 pm. Our newest Eagles and families will have an opportunity to complete registration, tour the building and receive goodies. Please remember that your child must turn 5 on or before August 31.
