Good evening students and parents,
This is Lauryn Duncan, Principal at Douglass Elementary School calling with a few announcements for the week.
We will be recognizing our staff this week for Teacher Appreciation Week! Please be sure to thank your child’s teacher for all that they do each and every day! We want to thank our wonderful PTO for spoiling our staff each day with goodies!
Parents, please remember that if your child is a car rider in the afternoons, you are asked to remain in your car and proceed through the car rider liner to pick up your child. We do not allow parents to walk up to get their child as this is a safety concern.
Finally, parents, we have our end of year awards assemblies scheduled. Please mark your calendars! Our Second grade awards assembly will be Monday, June 3 beginning at 8:30 am. Our third grade awards assembly will be Monday, June 3 beginning at 10:00 am and our fourth grade awards assembly will be Monday, June 3 beginning at 1:00 pm. Our kindergarten awards assembly will be Tuesday, June 4 beginning at 8:30 am. Our first grade awards assembly will be Tuesday, June 4 beginning at 10:00 am. Finally, our 5th grade graduation and awards assembly is scheduled for Wednesday, June 5 beginning at 8:30 am.
