Good Evening, students and parents. This is Dennis Paschal, interim principal at Douglass Elementary calling with a few reminders.

Parents, it is extremely important that during morning drop off and afternoon dismissal you remain in the right lane for the duration of drop off and pick up. This is to ensure the safety of our students and staff. Also, please remember that Douglass Elementary and all Rockingham County Schools campuses are tobacco free. This includes student drop off and pick up.

Parents, Thursday November 9th is an early release day. Students will be dismissed at 12:45pm. Please be sure that your child’s ride is here at 12:45pm. If your child is a bus rider, please ensure someone is at the stop to greet them two hours earlier than usual. Also, Friday, we will observe the Veterans Day Holiday on Friday, November 10th. There will be no school on Friday for students or staff. Thank you to all of the Veterans for your service to our country!
