Good Evening, students and parents. This is Dennis Paschal, interim principal at Douglass Elementary, calling with a few reminders.
Parents, our next PTO meeting will be this Tuesday, December 12 beginning at 5:30 pm in the media center. Please consider attending this meeting as we will discuss important events to support our students.
Students will have the opportunity to shop at the PTO Christmas store during their assigned class time through December 15th. The store will also be open from 7:20-7:45 and 1 to 2:15 on through December 15th.
Please don’t forget about our holiday food drive. It will run through December 12th. All donations will go to a local food bank. All items donated should be non-perishable. The class with the most donations collected will earn a special treat. Thank you for being willing to help our community out during the holiday season.
A remote learning letter and packet were sent home with your child on Friday, December 8th. Please be sure to read the letter as it specifies when your child needs to complete the attached assignments. Your child does not need to complete the assignments attached unless we have winter weather and a message from our district indicates a remote learning day.
We are continuing our countdown to Christmas break this week! Monday, wear your favorite holiday socks; Tuesday, wear your favorite flannel; on Wednesday, twinkle like a Christmas tree; on Thursday, wear your Santa Claus red and white; and on Friday, dress like a Christmas present!
